AWAY FROM THE BARS, AND MEETING THE "NICE" GIRLS ...
Many TSM members are looking for the "action" and the Bar scene is usually where they head straight for. Most have only a few days, and want to "enjoy" them. However, there are numerous ways too meet respectable, and eligable Philippine ladies that are not "working girls"... Just about every single Filipina under the age of retirement wants to finda boyfriend/husband and many are drawn towards a Foreign male, for numerous reasons, least of which is the economical situation in the Philippines.Hence there are the massive number of pen pal clubs featuring the Philippines. The Filipina is very family orientated and marriage minded. In most case's they are looking for happiness and financial security....
That does not necessarily mean they fit into the "gold diggers" category.!!! Finiancial Security too them is a lot less than it would be to us Guy's from the West..and any visit to the islands will show you just what hardships most Filipinas have to endure... Most of the "working girls" for example are not out and out professionals....they are just trying to pay their way through college or trying to raise a little cash to help their family buy a small "sari sari" (grocery) store to support themselves. Some are forced into the business because they have become "single mothers" which is frowned upon by society there....In most case's these single mothers have been "sweet talked" into bed by a Foeigner and left with an unwelcome "gift".....(sorry guy's but this does happen frequently....) The girls family will disown her in most cases and then she will become a working girl to look after the baby....It is a hard life out there and one which should make us all realise and appreciate how lucky we are in the West. Pen Pal clubs are certainly a consideration when looking for a "girlfriend" or "wife" and are one way of arranging numerous meetings in the Philippines for a trip. But, you need to plan well in advance and write too these girls. When in the Philippines learning a few words of Tagalog is really useful but, not essential as everyone speaks English....
But it impress's the hell out of them if you show you have made the effort to try and learn some words -- "Kamasta Ka" for example means "hello how are you" and that is really very useful -- it will get a instant smile and "Mabuti" (I'm fine) reply, from there, the "ice" is broken and you can go on and talk/chat with numerous girls, who will even help you find a few more words to help in future!! You could try online "chat" I found some Filipina students on ENGLISH FRIEND FINDER but there is also ASIA FRIEND FINDER, YAHOO CHAT, AND ICQ etc....most of those found through this method are "students" using computers at college...meetings can easily be arranged phone numbers exchanged. Worth a try but, you need to be patient and keep looking remember the time difference may mean they are at home in bed when you are online and via-versa.
When in the Philippines check out the shopping malls, you will see hundreds of girls usually walking around in groups of two laughing and smiling and these to will nearly always respond favourabally to a smile and a few words like "Kamasta Ka?" ...Visiting shopping malls is like a pastime for most Filipinas.... Check out the Department stores, be nice, be charming, and be friendly and again it is amazing just how many girls will show an interest.....never leave your Hotel without a pocket full of calling cards on you with your name and room number written on....Ask them out, be brave...they can only say YES or NO....Tell them how attractive they are, and that you really would like to take them for a Big Mac..or a disco...leave them your card and ask them to call you...it works believe me.... Remember, always in the back of your mind, that every Shop, Hotel, Restaurant, and even shopping mall is full of potential "girlfriends".....
They may not always be an easy "bed partner" but, you are looking for the nice girl type right?? And they can be just as sexy and forthcoming with a little effort, romance and such like... Disco's and even the Cinema are popular in the Philippines as well....I have had some pretty amazing "pick ups" at both and I even went to see a Tagalog film once, and was "helped" to understand what was hapening in the film by two really sweet girls I met in the lobby and who approached me when they saw a Foreigner on his own going too see a Tagalog movie. They were curious to know if I understood the language. I told them just the odd word but, I liked cinema and wanted to see a Filipino film -- needless to say that went down well and afterwards we shared a Big Mac together. The next day both were at my Hotel using the Swimming Pool and getting to know me better...!!! Well worth two hours in a cinema listening to Tagalog I can tell you...
If you have a ounce of charisma, personality and are generally nice, your looks and age are of secondary importance to most girls....many prefer the older type anyway (I'm 41). You will, if you take the time and make the effort meet hundreds of respectable girls that you could introduce to your mother and who in many cases will prove to be just as sexy and inviting as any of the freely available bar girls....
