Surfing

Siargao Island boasts the Philippine's most famous break, Cloud Nine, but there are numerous other breaks if you are willing to explore a little: though they tend to be for the more experienced surfer.

Surfers Paradise

The authorities, especially the Mayor, have seen the value of tourists visiting their province and to this end they strive to help make the tourists stay as comfortable as they can.

The island is clean, green with white sandy beaches. The picture postcard surfing location. The locals are friendly both in and out of the water. Some surfers may find the breaks between swells tiring as there are few social activities upon the island.

There are beach resorts located in front of the Cloud Nine break itself with cheaper accommodation also available within General Luna itself. You can also rent boards. If you're lucky the resort owner will lend you his board for free, as long as you pay for any damage to the board incurred during your use. Pirate Pete in General Luna rents his board for around  P150 per day.
