The Zapata is perfect for me...

Got back from my first trip to BC in the DR a week ago and thought I better finally throw in my two cents worth. Sorry for the delay, Bruce.

Don't worry about this being yet another BC trip report. TSM doesn't need another one. But I do want to make a few comments. Basically, my first trip was GREAT!! See my earlier message entitled "Having your cake and....". If you are planning a first trip, don't let the discos being closed scare you away. I still found the night and day scene to be just wonderful!! But I can see where the discos would be a hot addition to what I saw at night. If you are toying with going soon but have some flexibility then I would wait and see if they re-open during the holidays. I hate to fuel the rumor mill but during my visit (12/6-13) there was definitely some light construction and cleanup going on in both discos so something must be going to happen. The door to Alcatraz was open one afternoon so I "tried" to habla with a lady inside and I'm pretty sure she said they were trying to open in December but did not indicate a day.

I could never say enough about the ex-pats, Ronnie and his place, fellow TSMers visiting at the same time I was, etc. Everyone was just great!!! What a classy, do anything for ya group of folks!! I could gush on but I won't.

Now for the subject of choices. In BC there are plenty of choices for places to stay. I'm sure each is different and has its own appeal to different folks. For me, the Zapata is just perfect. You see I prefer short stays with chicas and don't care to have them hang around after. I bring a girl or girls in for awhile and then they are gone.

We would come in off the street, thru the lobby, to the room and later we would leave the same way. No muss, no fuss, and everybody happy, especially me. I did this during the day, evening, and nights. No one ever asked questions or showed the slightest concern. Hell, Gabriel saw me bring in the two-chica combos and never flinched. He and I spoke several times during the week and got along just fine.

He simply wants to continue to run a quiet, class place for discrete, classy clients and I fully support that. He doesn't want a bunch of noisy, classless chicas hanging around the place and neither do I. I frankly like the fact that I can come back to the Zapata day or night and get away from the rest of BC if I desire. I can lay out by the beach bar and get some sun and not be bothered by chicas, beach touts, etc. But yet I know if I meet someone that I want to spend a couple of days with that all I have to do is stroll in with her and introduce her to Gabriel so that he can see for himself that he has nothing to worry about.

Anyone I'm going to spend days with is going to be someone he doesn't have to worry about in the first place. She would be someone that would be respectful of the hotel, the staff and the guests. Just the same way I am. So the point is if you want a rowdier place with local chicas partying by the pool, etc then you have CHOICES in BC and isn't that just a wonderful thing!!! As for me when I want more "action" during the day then I just head to Ronnie's or the beach in front of his place.

Well, I ended up rambling on anyway. Sorry about that. If anyone wants other input from a recent first-timer then feel free to e-mail me and we can take it offline so to speak.
