Puerta Plata action
Now is the time to visit Puerto Plata, there are lots of chicas and not enough tourists
to go around.
I left a little over 3 months ago and after a phone call today to a friend "Nico"
who tends bar at Annas Bar and Grill on Av. Colon in Puerto Plata. It seems that
the chicas are hurting for boyfriends.
When the odds are in our favor is when you should plan for you trip to a tropical
island, plus the weather is great right now.
If you decide to go down check out Anna's Bar just to touch base with Nico and any
of the English speaking locals who hang out there.
The hotels that are companion friendly are:
Portofino, Lormar, Latin Quarter, Mountain View, Sunshine, Victorina and Sensacion.
PORTOFINO - close to action at Long Beach corner, small pool, nice bar area,
restaurant, walking distance to beach, no bribes necessary to bring chica in to room.
LORMAR - close to action at Long Beach corner, no pool, small bar, sometimes
bribe needed to get chica to room.
LATIN QUARTER - close to action at Long Beach corner, ask to see room first
to get one with newer bed, large pool, nice bar/restaurant area, walking distance
to beach, no bribes necessary
to bring chica in to room.
MOUNTAIN VIEW -close to downtown area, nice bar and disco, noisy at night,
one restaurant nearby, and no bribes necessary. SUNSHINE HOTEL - on main road through
Puerto Plata, not close to action, nice bar and restaurant, rooms at the front noisy,
no bribes necessary.
VICTORINA - not recommended by me for anyone but the hardened whoremonger,
bad area, lots of hookers, no bribes necessary.
SENSACION - nicest rooms of all, out on highway and need a car for sure, room
service but no bar or restaurant, has a pool, no bribes necessary.
The bars to find some action are:
"Color Tropical" across the street from Anna's bar on Av. Colon.
Look for Belkies, Anna, Josie, Little Anna, and Francisca. "Yellow Beards"
about a block away from Anna's. Look for Lilli, Yocasta, Jessie, Yohanna and Miriam.
"Babylon" has the largest selection of chicas and be sure to look
for Inderia, Candy, Belkies and Sandra.
"Mountain View" has it's own bar disco and is a place where the
Dominicans go to dance. Lots of chicas but you may have to wait until 2am, which
is when they finish their shift.
"Characheros" has bikini night on Tuesdays and is a good spot to
see what you are getting before you get her home. "Edisons" and across
from it on the port road are four bars that open at 11am each morning, you will find
a great selection for an afternoon delight, they have a shift change and new chicas
start the night shift at 7pm and work until about 1am.
"Long Beach" has a new bar, Cristals but it is very commercial,
other than there you have lots to pick from as all the Germans have left. Some of
the chicas at Long Beach are a bit long of tooth but new ones appear every week and
it is a good spot to sit and have a drink at La Fuente or next door at Te Amos. Te
Amos has no TV sports but her drinks are cheaper and she is a beautiful woman.

This town is underrated for chica action. Beauty is nowhere near Santiago standards, but availability is more abundant due to the high concentration of international tourism. Another reason I like Puerto Plata is that you won't be smothered by unwanted affection in discos as is the case in BC. The girls of PP are available, but they're tactful and restrained about it. Best disco for finding chicas now is La Barrica. Others are Orion, Ode, and Tropimar. There are also three nightclubs of note -- Luz Maria, El Principe, and the newest - El Bohen. Typical price in these clubs is 1000 pesos for the night, including a 300 peso Salida (bar fine).
1. Metro or Caribe Bus from PP to SD is 85 pesos and very comfortable. From SD to BC, I took a taxi that charged 350 pesos.
2. Lomar Apart/Hotel on the Malecon - 500 pesos per day for a large apartment suite. The Sunshine is also friendly, but much noisier traffic. Info on Puerto Plata nightlife coming soon.
3. Santiago, Santiago, Santiago!!! I cannot stress visiting this place enough. Redman, le ragazze di Santiago sono bellissime. Non mancare l'opportunit‡ di passare un giorno l‡. Santiago chicas are simply beyond words in any language.
5. Weather was very hot the last two weeks.
6. Banco Popular ATM in Puerto Plata. Also a few in Playa Dorada. Not always working though.

Pat had given me the name of an expat bar in Puerta Plata , Fat Eddy's. Best move I made all trip--great bunch of guys, hung out with them the next four days. Stayed at the Latin Quarter hotel on the Malecon in PP--by far best hotel of my trip, about $35/nite, pool, family run, relaxed, no guest problems. Found PP to be very safe (luckily, as I've forgotten most of my Special Forces training ) and quite enjoyable. Oh--and if you're there don't miss the carwash if you want to live out any adolescent Phoebe Cates fantasies--she's a dead ringer.
SEX IN PUERTO PLATA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

From my experience which is, of course, a male perspective.there is something for
everyone in the Dominican Republic. If tourism is the #1 industry in "The D.R.",
prostitution (the exchange of money for sexual services) may well be #2.
I first "discovered" The D.R. in the fall of 99. I ran across a number
of Internet Sites including TSM, The World Sex Archives and The World Sex Guide,
all of which provided an overview, and "reviews" of The Sex Trade in a
variety of countries throughout the world. Boca Chica, Sosua and Santa Domingo in
The D.R. were rated very highly for their close proximity to North America, weather,
cost and beautiful young women.
A further "search" brought me to a WebPage constructed by someone calling
himself "Billy The Bookie". The page extolled the virtues of The D.R. and
featured pictures of Billyís wedding to a Dominican lady.
So.I e-mailed Billy.
Billy is a Canadian from Hamilton, Ontario. In the mid-80ís he began vacationing
in The D.R. Upon retirement, he married Milagros and bought a home in Puerto Plata.
To keep himself occupied he occasionally worked at a "Sports Book"..a legal
and respectable activity in The D.R. I told him I was planning on taking a weekís
holiday over U.S. Thanksgiving on the island. He suggested I phone him when I arrived
and he would introduce me to some of his "girlfriends".
It was an amazing week. So amazing that I recently returned with Billy for a TWO
week vacation.
Now at this point I should mention that, as of my second trip in the spring of 2000,
Billy is no longer a "Bookie". As all the "books" have left for
Costa Rica, the low-level shakedowns have cost the city of Puerto Plata 4 off shore
sports books and the resultant cash flow into the economy. He is now working on developing
a "Sex Tour" business in Puerto Plata. I suspect heíll be successful
because:
He is known and respected by just about everyone. He has a reasonably good command
of Spanish He knows where to find the best girls
He knows where not to go.

Is Billy a "pimp"? Not really. He doesnít make any money from The
Girls. Prostitution is legal in The D.R., and is in fact, virtually the only marketable
skill for most of the young women I met, virtually all of whom have had at least
one child from a Dominican man as single mothers while still in their teens. Usually
they end up living with their families and, as "working girls", provide
most of the income for the home.
Of course, that isnít the only "scenario" but it seems to be very
prevalent.
From my experience, Prostitution exists on at least three levels in The D.R Conventional,
Somewhat Conventional and Not At All Conventional.
CONVENTIONAL
There are High Class, Middle Class and Lower Class Brothels. The High Class Brothel
in Puerto Plata is La Boheme. Situated in the centre of town, it resembles a kind
of "fortress". You must walk through two entrances and past two sets of
"casual" security before entering the bar area. Once inside, youíll
discover at least 50 women. They appear to be carefully chosen to create a variety
of colour, shape, size and aggressiveness.
The variety and selection are superb, although very commercial.
If you allow one of the security people to seat you, a woman will immediately be
at your table, sit down and take you and her drink order. My suggestion isÖ.donít
sit down. Remain in "control" by cruising the room. Take your time but
keep moving. All the women will look at you. Some will reach out and touch you. Others
will try to get in your way. Itís much like being a running back on a football
team. In fact, I prefer to take the El Boheme "tour" with one or two other
men, let them lead the way and have them act as "blocking guards".
All the girls live on site. Upon choosing a girl, youíll be responsible for
paying the establishment 300 pesos ($20 US). Then once in the girlís room
itíll cost you another 1000 pesos ($65 US) for some action.
Itís the same procedure in both the "Middle Class" and "Lower
Class" Brothels..but for less cost. Most are frequented by Dominican men.
Although Iíve been to quite a number of Brothels with Billy on his advice
Iíve never been with any of their girls. This is the kind of "action"
you can get near Vegas and Reno. And, by D.R. standards, itís too expensive
and not the best value.

SOMEWHAT CONVENTIONAL
There is a number of Strip Clubs in Puerto Plata. The Music is loud. The show terrific.
Although the girls donít usually "hustle" you as they do at The
Brothel ..they are, for the most part, all available. Again, you must pay the establishment
something usually 100 pesos ($6.50 US). You then take the girl back to your hotel.
If youíre staying at an all-inclusive resort, you wonít be able to
take her with you. In that case, Iíd suggest one of the "Tourist Villas"
such as Sensasion or Neuva York.
These are short-term "motel-style" rooms. Simply hire a cab from the club.
Tell the driver which "Villa" youíd like him to take you to negotiate
a price (usually 100 -150 pesos return). To be paid after he returns.
Heíll drive to the location (both of which are secluded just outside of town)
and drive directly into a garage attached to the room. The garage door will close
behind you. Tell the driver what time youíd like him to pick you up (you have
up to six hours) or get his name and the phone number of the cab company. Go into
the room. Youíll find a "dumb waiter" next to the bed. An attendant,
who you do not see and does not see you, will take 300 pesos ($20 US) from you for
the room and also will sell you liquid refreshment, and even a meal at reasonable
prices. The mirrored rooms have an en suite, a large bed and a TV that plays porno.
At the end of your "session" pay the girl 500 pesos ($35 US).
Part two of "Somewhat Conventional" is simply finding a bar. There seem
to be hundreds of them. Billyís favourites are Frankís and Bobbyís
in Long Beach and Annaís and Tropical near La Boheme. Both Bobbyís
and Annaís also serve food. All have the advantage of ownership that speaks
English. From anytime after 12 noon the girls will arrive. The "bartender"
is also most likely available.
NOT AT ALL CONVENTIONAL
You could have the experience of all of the above without the assistance of Billy
and have a pretty good time. Being with Billy, you would probably have a better time
because he has been with most of the girls and therefore knows the best performe
.and, of course, their personalities.
Before I arrived on the first trip, Billy told some of the girls that heíd
shortly be introducing them to a single guy from Canada. As Billy took me on my first
"tour" I felt like a celebrity. The best looking girls at every place we
visited wanted to meet me. Of course, they all knew that Billy married a Dominican
.so wasnít it possible that Billyís friend might want to marry one
too? It was quite an experience for a 55-year-old guy (me) to get all this attention
from 20 something women! It was like being in a candy store.

On the second trip, for the first four days I was with one, and sometimes two, girls
every day. Thank God for Viagara! The fifth day I rested. Billy, though, was still
going. He confesses to being a sex addict. Frankly Iíve never known anyone
like him. A very sweet, personable man. And The Girls just love him. He treats them
with a great deal of respect, buys them clothes and jewelry from Canada..and even
food and medicine for their children. Billy is basically a "social worker".
Youíd have to be Canadian to know what I mean.
Also, on my second trip, I became friendly with "Henry", a wealthy tool
and die company owner who spends two of every six weeks in The D.R. with his girlfriend
and her family. Henry pays the rent on a two-bedroom condo for them and also owns
a "farm" in the country. Henryís girlfriend was obviously a "matchmaker"
as she regularly introduced me to a variety of her friends who clearly were not "working
girls", may have been looking for husbands and certainly were looking for sex.
On two occasions, I was virtually raped!
Now if all of this sounds pretty "fantastic"hereís my "take"
on most of the women I was with in The D.R.
"Sex" is a significant part of "The Culture". Virtually every
girl I was with was either a very good actress or she really did love sex.
Now with all modesty Iím not a Wham, Bang, Thank You Maíam kind of
guy. I like women. I enjoy "romancing" them. Most of my Dominican lovers
seemed surprised that I made sure that they "came" too. Apparently "making
love" is not what Dominican Men are known for. Of course conversing in broken
English and Spanish can be challenging but also fun. The Dominicans I met (of both
sexes) were happy, warm, friendly, fun loving, live for today kind of people. I took
most of the girls I was with to lunch, sometimes dinner, always drinks and usually
dancing. Dominican Women are the ultimate GFE (Girl Friend Experience). Show them
a good time and they will show you a better time. Most of the women I was with stayed
overnight. We had some great mornings. I never paid in advanceÖand always "discreetly"
left them $50 Cdn.
On the first trip, after a few days and more than a few women, I "settled"
on a "regular". Her name is Judy. She lives with her baby, brother, sister
and father in a two-bedroom"apartment" in the "barrio" that is
about the size of my basement in Canada. No running water, no flush toilet, and if
thereís electricityÖ.itís stolen. Yet itís neat and clean.
At the end of my first trip I told Judy I would be back but Iím sure she didnít
believe me. So, when I came back and saw her the first dayÖ.it was quite an
experience. Later, she almost killed me. Over the next two weeks I saw her every
other day. She probably suspects I was also with other women, but never asked.

As with most Dominican Women, she is not really into giving head but Iíve
enjoyed teaching her because she clearly wants to please. A highlight was when she
made me dinner. Sheís a fantastic cook. My glass was never empty. Out of habit
I started to do dishes. Judy kicked me out of the kitchen.
Within the North American Culture, I suppose I should feel guilty. Feminists that
read this will be pissed. $300 an hour hookers should feel threatened. Iíve
been married twice. The second one ended when I discovered my wife in bed with her
girlfriend.
Fuck them!!!
Iíve discovered Paradise four hours from The Rat Race. Iím not rich,
but in The D.R. Iím a millionaire. Retirement is on the horizon. I plan to
die with a smile on my face.

He got 1500 hits the first day. One of them, a thirty something guy named Alan from
Montreal who is looking for a wife, ended up with a 19 year old virgin. He was smart
enough not to try to take advantage of that and spent most of the week teaching her
the art of fellatio. But I think heís "hooked". I know she is.
But having said that, my advice to him. If it Flies, Floats or Fucks Rent it.

The bars:
Duane has sold Anna's Bar and Grill on Av. Colon and it is no longer the point for the expats to meet.
The new spot for the expats is a bar across the street called "Color Tropical". Bobby a Canadian along with his wife Mary have reopened the old "Fat Eddy's Bar" and you'll find that is where the locals and visitors that speak English hang out now. Some local girls are always around.
Down the street is "el Boheim", it has reopened and has 20/25 beauties there, but they want 1200 to 1600 pesos for 2 hours, and the bar requires a 400 peso "salida" which is the payment to the bar for the girl to leave. I don't recommend this bar not only are the girls too commercial but the drinks there are higher than north American prices.
Within 100 yards of Color Tropical are 3 or 4 reasonable bars.
Just past Color Tropical is a bar called "La Francia", a typical Dominican bar, very loud music and lots of girls (10/15). They have a strip show there about 11pm each night. At this and the other bars the normal salida now is 200 pesos.
On Av Duarte a block closer to the ocean to the right off Av Colon is "Yellow Beards" and the joint owners Yohanna & Maria, they keep the music at north American volumes and usually have 5 or 6 nice chicas there.
The "Mountain View Hotel" has from 12 to 15 waitress working there and they have lots of local girls drop in there to have a drink and dance. ( look on the maps on the web site listed below for locations)
On the main road through Puerto Plata, you will go under an overpass and at the bottom of the hill is the bar "la Babylon", again a typical Dominican bar with loud music and lots of girls there (12/15). They have a strip show at about 11pm and again at 1am each night.
The entrance to the port area from the main road has 4 bars that open at 11am and have a shift change of girls at 7pm. They are interesting to check out as soon after 7pm as you can, before the pretty ones are sitting with someone who will buy them a beer, a good place to practice your Spanish and meet the new chicas in town.
Past the port entrance going towards Costambar across from the road to the cable car is another bar that opens at 11am, ask for Blanco and tell him you are a friend of mine. A little further along the road is "el Ferry" and this disco opens at about 7pm, they usually have some good talent in there.
On the highway to Corfresi is a strip bar "el Prinicpi" not as pricey as el Boheim but a little higher than the others, but they put on a good show at 11pm and 1am nightly.
About 200 yards closer to the city is a favorite of mine called "Scape", again I repeat myself, very loud music but at this bar they always put a table outside for me and I only go inside to dance. Sometimes they have as many as 8 to 10 chicas there.
The other end of town is Long Beach, it has a collection of outside bars that you can sit in and watch the girls walk by until you see one you would like to invite for a drink. One very good spot there is "la Fuente" which is owned by a Canadian from Toronto, 3 large screen TV's and nice music.
A bar called Cristals is very expensive but worth going into for the show and window shop. Watch out when ask to buy a girl a drink there, it can run you 100 pesos a drink and a beer is double what you will pay elsewhere.
But be warned, the chicas that hang around the bars outside Cristals at Long Beach are independent and come and go nightly. You have to watch your wallet as they aren't working for a bar owner who doesn't want to have the police come looking for a thief among his waitresses. The bars across the street from Cristals get very busy after 11pm and two of the guests from the Sand Trap Inn were injoying the attention of 3 or 4 chicas only to find out a hour later when they went to pay for the drinks that their wallets were gone and so were the chicas.
I always advise the guests to use the room safes, and only take what you are going to spend on a nights outing. They both had much more money with them than they needed to take and paid dearly for the mistake. One even had his chain taken, a very expensive hug and kiss.

It was great meeting you Billy. The chica at "El Boheme" quoted me
500 peso salida and 2000 for her. She didn't say for how long. I have to admit, there were no girls in there. They were all women and some of the finest Dominicanas I have ever seen. Funny thing, a few days later, Lumps (another TSMer) and I was hanging out a Dominican bar near "El Boheme" and a girl approached us. We talked for a couple of hours or more. She was willing to show me her room for 700 pesos. Later at "El Boheme" she would have to ask for 2000. She told some amazing stories of the old woman of that ran the place and the stupid Americans that kept the place running. She laughed at how these guys would come in and spend a grand a night on one or two girls. The guys thought they
were big shots, the girls thought they were fools. Seems to a common feeling amongest the chicas. (Yes, I am an American).Cristals was second best to me. 400 salida and the girl you set me up with wanted 1000 for all night. She was one of the most sexually
aggressive women I have ever met. She was everything you said she would be. Cristals had some very beautiful chicas working there. They also had two blonds working there. One from England and one from Venezuela. This bar is like an American strip bar where they offer table dances in a special area. One girl told me they get 400 pesos for a private dance. You can bet they are better dances than in the states.Billy introduced me to several girls over the course of ten days. My
favorite place was YellowBeards. Not many girls, but all of them had
a great attitude. Maria saw me tip a tout 20 pesos out front of her
place and asked me why. I told her that I couldn't remember how to
get back to it after one trip at night going from one bar to another. She gave me her card and said to call her whenever I wanted to visit and she would send a guy to pick me up. And she did!I took several chicas from the bar cluster at Longbeach. There are
several nice looking freelancers working there. As for the girls
being hardcore, most of mine were. The first girl that Billy set me
up with, at my request, was typical of what I met. On the drive from
the airport to the hotel, I told Billy that I would like to meet
Andrinna. A chica that the Plumber had posted a pic of last year. In
less than an hour, Billy had her at my room with her sister. You
can't ask for better service. We had a good time after Billy and
Sis left. I asked her to stay the night and she accepted, saying
that she needed to go home and change. She showed up three hours later and asked if I would buy supper for her. She ordered a large pizza at the hotel restaurant. When It arrived, she ate one bite and said she wasn't that hungry. About that time Sis shows up and the cell phone rings. She gets up and walks off for a private chat on the phone. She manages to talk to the waitress while still on the phone. The waitress goes and gets a box and puts the pizza in.I knew what was happening as soon as Sis showed up. Sure enough,
she tells me that she wants to go home and take the pizza. I laugh
and tell her no problem. From the look on her face, she realized
I knew what she was up to. The sisters leave with the pizza and half
of her asking price for the couple of hours we spent together instead
of all night. A few nights later I ran across her again. She asked if
I was interested in her company. I laughed again and told her I was
afraid of another phone call. She smiled and walked off. Too bad, she has a great body. Lousy attitude, no kissing, no oral performed, no pics..... For me, a typical Dominicana experience. For the guys
who want to defend the chicas, yes there are a few good ones. I have
been to the DR several times. I just got home from 24 day trip
this time. This is pretty much typical of most of the experiences I
have had. They girls didn't really differ much between Boca Chica
and Puerto Plata for me. Again, only my opinion.From what Billy told me, he is once again associated with the Sand
Trap Inn. It is a real nice place. Billy had a couple of BBQ's there
for his guests and had a few girls around for entertainment. Billy is
very knowledgeable of the city and knows most of the chicas. The map he has on his site is excellent.Boca Chica has alot of action right now. I didn't see any strip shows
as previously posted. There were alot of girls. Most hardcore, some
real sweethearts. Some guys wonder why there are so many hardcore
girls. I ran across a girl I have known for several years in BC. She
is a real nice girl. She was staying with one guy from New Jersey. He
was promising her the world. From what he told me, no reason. He didn't seem interested in cheaper prices, just bullshitting her. Then he got pissed at her when he would disappear and she would go looking for him. She cryed for days after he left. In my opinion, he was a real scum bag. And we wonder why the girls are the way they are.As posted many times, the Playa Vista is a nice place to hang out at
during the days. Cheap drinks and internet service. Peter and Fleming also rent an apartment on site.Well, way too much from a wandering mind. Post any questions and I will try to answer.
